Wates Construction Specifies Hemsec SIPS For Roof Project
Wates construction has specified Hemsec SIPS for the roof of a Sunrise Care Home in Bramhall, Stockport.
The contract has been awarded to McVeigh for the design, processing and installation of some 1500m2 of Hemsec SIPS to form the external roof covering which will achieve a 0.17w/m2k u-value.
The first panels go to site late in November with a total programme of 6 weeks to install the very complicated roof.
This project marks another breakthrough for the Hemsec SIPS products and since the contract award a number of other key players have contacted Hemsec with a view to specifying the product on similar project up and down the country.
Jim McVeigh, MD at McVeigh, commented “that he believed the product had been chosen due to the performance and speed of build benefits along with the product being able to be utilised on a very complicated roof design” he further stated “the specification criteria for this roof was one of the most challenging we have come across with the Hemsec SIPS product being able to meet the stringent requirements”.
