Hemsec are delighted to have had their Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) product chosen for the construction of a 53 Bedroom hotel on the Isle of Wight.
The project is a second collaboration between Meadmanor Contracts Limited and Hemsec Installations Limited for the construction of a hotel using the Hemsec SIPS products for the load bearing element of the structure.
Geoff Ilott MD of Meadmanor commented “that the product was, for them, the only commercially viable solution for this type of construction which incorporates the use of Hemsec SIPS to support the pre-cast concrete floors” he further stated “ that this had become a standard detail for other hotels to be built by his company in the near future”.
The project commences on site in late September with a construction period of 2 months for the superstructure element of the build which incorporates some 5000m2 of Hemsec SIPS 100mm and 125mm thick products.
