Hemsec SIPS specified for high rise building in Manchester
Hemsec believe they have again achieved a first when it comes to the use of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS).
Their popular SIPS product is being used as an infill system for the external envelope of a 17 story high residential block in Manchester for property developers George Downing.
The product was chosen for a number of reasons such as thermal, acoustic, strength and flexibility when it came to fixing of the external finishes such as tile hanging systems and glazing.
The project started in August with a completion due in early 2008.
The Façade contractor is European Sheeting Limited (ESL) of Wrexham WHOSE Managing Director Garry Goss has become a great believer in the benefit of Hemsec SIPS for such projects.
Garry’s belief is such that he has no apprehensions utilising 15,000m2 of the product on this project alone.
